Zoe Gilmore was raised in Memphis, Tennessee, and then moved to Nebraska during her high school years. She currently attends the Rhode Island School of Design studying illustration for her BFA. 
Her work is primarily inspired by her own life experiences and identities, the natural world, and narrative storytelling. She is passionate about environmental studies, Science and history, and social change, enjoying a variety of mediums including digital and traditional painting or drawing, printmaking techniques, and paper engineering.
